A great success!

To say that the grand opening was a success last night maybe putting it mildly. The restaurant was welcomed with a packed house all night. Family, friends and passers by all alike enjoyed the colorful menu listening to the sounds of local Jersey City DJ Hells Yea. The belly dancer was a perfect touch to the night encouraging all the guests to get up and join her!

We all ate happily and merrily while admiring all of Billy's Photography that elegantly wraps around the bright yellow walls of Parkside.

News 12 even popped in to interview the owner and get a glimpse of all the action.

Everyone had a great time and if you couldn't make it out last night, please stop by soon!

JamesJohn Lip Balm Sponsors Grand Opening for Parkside Bistro in Jersey City

We are always reaching out to work with the community and think outside the box to promote our balm and get the JIMMY out there!

This Saturday we are very pleased to be a lead sponsor for the Grand Opening of Parkside Bistro in Jersey City! This event is also sponsored by local artist Billy John Moore whose photography will be the featured décor of the restaurant. Other sponsors include The Saffron, SalonX, New York Sports Club of Jersey City, Fresh Skin care, European Italian Kitchen Center and DJ Mike.

We can truly say that Parkside is bringing a new flavor to downtown we haven't experienced before. The owner Ronnie is more then welcoming and his enlightened hospitality virtually makes it impossible not to go back. Who can refuse an amazing variety of Mediterranean, Italian and vegetarian meals. Did we mention the mashed potatoes are to die for?

Please join us in welcoming and celebrating "the" new spot in town!

Date: May 15th, Saturday
Time: 5-11pm
Location: Parkside Bistro 131 Erie St Jersey City, NJ.

On a Beauty Budget?

I'll be the first one to grab the $250.00 Time Response Body Cream by Amore Pacific but lets face it in times like these we should save those savvy creams for a special night on the town!

My favorite body products would take me 48 hours to type out but a few of them include, Sabon Vanilla Body Wash, Sabon Vanilla and Coconut Body Scrub followed by the Body cream, Body Shop Shea body scrub and body butter, Bliss Sappy Soap, Fresh Brown Sugar Scrub, Kiehls Creme de Corp and the list goes on and on. Even today Body Shop is breaking the bank with the body butter. It is $20.00 for a 6.9 fl oz and if you're anything like me that may last you a five day work week!

So I say save the savvy beauty products for that hot date or special reserved spa day at home!

It has taken me a lot of courage to admit that I am loving the new body products my boyfriend purchased for me at Target tonight but I am. Not only are they amazing in texture and scent they were a great price! So here it goes I am now the proud owner of a 32. fl oz bottle, with pump of Neutrogena Rainbath refreshing shower gel and 32. fl oz, with pump Neutrogena body lotion the light sesame formula. The "whisper light skin-silkening moisturizer" is so light in texture you barely notice it's there and leaves your skin "kissed" with the scent of fresh sesame! What more can women ask for? It's great before bed or right before work because it'll never intrude with your favorite fragrance, that's how light it is! Here's the best part they were both under 16 dollars!

Hope this feedback helps next time you're looking for a great lotion and body wash that can fit in your budget!

Happy Cleansing!!!

JamesJohn Lip Balm is staple but it's not the only one in my bag.

I started this blog out of an obsession for lip balm. I'd be a huge liar if I told you I only use my lip balm. I use many balms for many occasions, reasons or no real reason at all. Maybe I just need to apply something!

Maybe it's habit, maybe it's compulsion or maybe it's just love. xo

JamesJohn Lip Balm is staple. It's like the fitted white t-shirt and little black dress that belongs in every women's closet. Every women may use 2 or 3 fragrances depending on her mood but she always goes back to that special scent that's classic and hers. Just like choosing an outfit or picking a fragrance depending on the ladies mood may depend on what balm, gloss or moisturizing lip product she pops in her bag.

So what balm are you going to pop in your purse tomorrow morning?
